Peter Swinnen (Royal Conservatory of Brussels) and Richard Whalley (University of Manchester) offer a masterclass in composition and writing music in an inspiring environment, fuelled by collaborations with musicians from various disciplines, surrounded by chamber music concerts the picturesque villages of the Poitou region of France.

The masterclass is open to students of all levels and alternates between individual lessons, group discussions and workshops, and also time for you to compose. The various sessions offered by Peter Swinnen, Richard Whalley and possibly by other musicians on the site, will provide an opportunity for exchange, discussion and sharing of ideas in order to find answers to specific questions.

The masterclass will take place from6 to13 August 2016. For those who have never previously composed but would love to have a taste, and for those who have specific projects requiring a longer duration, the masterclass runs from4 to 13 August 2016. Please get in touch before 4 April 2016 if you wish to start on the earlier date. If you want more information, Peter Swinnen will be in touch before the course begins.

Thefee for the masterclass includes musical activities and meals. You are expected on the first day at 17h , wefinish on the last day at 10am. Only members of ARAM can participate in courses. Thesubscription for 2016 is 16 €
